The 2024 Sunshine State Steak Cook-off is a monumental event and will require approximately 150 volunteers from our Council and Community Members. Below is a list of the established teams, a brief description of their duties and the number of volunteers needed. Please sign up for one or more and you will be contacted by the Team Lead.
Ticket Sales - include Ticket sales, printing tickets, working the will call table, ticket takers, manage and report all ticket sales. 5 volunteers needed.
Fundraising- includes all fund raising, soliciting sponsorships, create and manage ad book. 2 volunteers needed.
Marketing – post on social media and other advertising for event. 6 volunteers needed.
Grill Team - management, recruitment, communication of Grill Teams. 2 volunteers needed.
Food Team- order food, pickup food, prepare sides, distribute food. 6 volunteers needed
Food Service Team- Collection, maintence and serving of prepared food. 19 volunteers needed
Entertainment- locate entertainment, secure services, communicate, bounce houses.
Silent Auction- manage silent auction. 8 volunteers needed
VIP Dining- manage menu, seating and service. 10 volunteers needed.
Equipment- obtain, deliver and maintain control over all equipment. Team Lead Dave Altomare, 12 volunteers needed.
Supplies- obtain, mange, distribute all supplies needed for event. 6 volunteers needed
Judging- Manages communication with judges, tally votes, etc. 6 volunteers needed.
Set Up Team- setting up all aspects of the cookoff. 20 volunteers needed
BreakDown/Clean up- all aspects of the break own and clean up of cookoff 25 volunteers needed.
Logistics support- crowd control, parking assistance, etc10 volunteers needed.
